  • Sharing GOD's Love

Visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction...

Do you enjoy sharing GOD's love with others at your local nursing home? I do too, and would love to hear your inspiring stories of such wonderful encounters with others. When you let the Lord lead you, wonderful things start to happen.  You will begin to see eyes that were once dim with hopelessness start to light up. Indeed, we serve such a loving GOD. This is a place to share your own inspiring stories and to be inspired by the stories of others.

Please read about our inspiring visit at the nursing home, under "comment" and please feel free to share your own with others on this site.

    Thank you and GOD bless,

    Lovingarms

About a year ago, Duke and I visited a friend at the nursing home who had not long before, returned to the nursing home after having surgery to have a leg amputated.  Sarah's daughter, Thelma, was there too, that day. She said that the Lord had spoken to her heart and told her not to go to her regular church service that day but to go to the nursing home. She said she knew something special was going to happen, and was so excited to see my husband and I walk into her mother's room. What was odd to us was that we almost did not go to the nursing home that day. I had talked my husband into it right after our church service was over.  Her mother was still in quite a bit of pain, and being a diabetic, was concerned the remaining part of her limb was not healing properly. Needless to say, she was also suffering from depression. After our visit, when we were about to leave the room, my husband felt that the Holy Spirit was impressing upon his heart  to pray for Sarah's  healing. We walked back over to Sarah; her daughter, duke and I clasped hands and my husband started to pray. We were joined by a young lady we had never seen before. This young lady (also a patient at the nursing home) had heard us and rolled her wheel chair into the room to join hands with us also. She had such a happy demeanor for a person that was a double amputee. There were also ladies from across the hall that had ventured closer to hear what was going on in Sarah’s room. We all prayed and sang together. It was beautiful. You knew the LORD was present in that room. Later, Sarah told us the sore place on her leg had been healed. All things are possible with GOD and HE is more than willing to use each of us.
